Mindy Phillips Lawrence, assistant editor and course presenter at Scribe and Quill, is a Missouri-based freelance writer. Through her company, MPL Creative Resources, she performs editing, publicity and research services for writers and is also the literary agent for the fiction work of Dr. Dan Skelton and Bev Walton-Porter.
Mindy speaks at writing events and has been published in several magazines, including Writer’s Digest.
She was interviewed along with four other female Missouri writers by Melissa Block on "All Things Considered" at NPR Radio.
Currently, she is researching her first novel tentatively titled Alone is Where We Begin and is working on a nonfiction book called Using Art to Promote Your Writing.
Mindy lives in a little space in Springfield, Missouri with her cat Alastar.
