Bio Mindy Phillips Lawrence, assistant editor of Scribe and Quill, is a Missouri-based freelance writer and a former secondary English teacher. She has 30 years of writing/editing experience. She holds a Bachelors in education with minors in English and library science. Mindy speaks at writing events, conducts interviews, publishes book reviews and has work printed in several magazines, including Writer's Digest. She is also a course presenter at Scribe and Quill. Currently, she is researching her first novel entitled Alone Is Where We Begin and working on a nonfiction book called Using Your Art to Promote Your Writing.
