Weekly Class Outline:
Week One: Understanding the different kinds of humor (satire, improv, domestic, urbane, etc)
* The imporance of basic writing skills
*Overcoming fear of writing and getting started

Week Two: Coming up with ideas
*Exercises to sharpen skills, such as improv
*Challenging yourself by writing different kinds of humor (erotica if you usually do domestic, etc)

Week Three: What is an appropriate topic and what is taboo?
*How to keep going during tough times
*Dealing with writer's block

Week Four: Finding markets -- along with a few suggestions
*Sending out queries, both to print markets and online
*Dealing with rejection
